Yesterday, I picked up my prints from my first exhibition. What a wonderful experience it was and I loved putting my work out there. I’m already working on the next one planned for early next year.
The best part of the exhibition has been talking with the amazing women who participated all over again, and hearing about how their opinions of themselves have changed since the photography took place. I have yet to meet one woman who’s initially said that they love to have their photo taken, but every week there are more women out there who are now more comfortable in front of a camera after a Salt Mama experience.
“Woodend photographer Amanda Waschevski from Salt Mama Studio wanted to do the exhibition because she wanted to help other women, especially mothers, to understand that they are a work of art.” Jodie, from Ipswich First wrote an article about the exhibition here.
It’s a wonderful thing to have your job and your work be the same and I’m excited for the future. I can’t wait to share this road with you – whether you’re ready to show up, just as you are, or not, I’m so happy you’re here.
