“A picture is of a person. A portrait is about a person.” Arthur Rainville
You matter enough, just as you are today, to have a portrait of yourself hanging on a wall.
How much would it mean to have an anchor to your truth?
To me, a portrait is more than just a picture of a person. The aim of portraiture is to capture the story behind the face. We are drawn to portraits because they are of human beings and we are human beings. We can relate to them because a face can say so much without words. At some point, your loved ones are going to look for a photograph of you. What will they find?
“The aim of art is not to show the outward appearance of things, but to show their inner significance.” Aristotle
Maybe if we all work towards discovering our inner significance, we will realise that we are already our own glorious works of art. Art that should be printed to be cherished.
Do you have a Great Portrait of yourself? By taking the time to listen, I create portraits that are incredibly relatable.
